abstract PURPOSE: To easily produce a material contg. an alkaline earth metals (oxide) by converting at least one kind of org. metal compds. of the alkaline earth metals to a gaseous phase and executing plasma activation deposition from the gaseous phase. n CONSTITUTION: The org. metal (MO) compds. of the alkaline earth metals are transferred from a low-pressure solid material evaporator to a discharge vessel by carrier gases contg. an inert gas and oxidative gas. The total pressure in the discharge vessel is regulated within a range of 0.1 to 50 hPa. In addition, plasma is generated and the intermediate treatment by argon/oxygen plasma is repeated. The plasma activation deposition is executed from the phase contg. the org. metal compds. and the gaseous oxide and inert gas which are reactive gases by intermittently executing the treatment. As a result, the production of high-temp. superconductors, etc., contg. the alkaline earth metals and the alkaline earth metal oxide is made possible. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
