PURPOSE: To obtain a thermosetting compsn. obtained by compounding a compd. having a mercaptoalkyl group and a compd. having a vinyl group and suitable for coating the surface of a metal or plastic. n CONSTITUTION: One or more kinds of a mercaptoalkyl group-containing compd. (A) selected from organopolysiloxane having two or more SiC bond groups represented by formula I (wherein R 2 is a 1-8C divalent hydrocarbon) per one molecule and a mercaptoalkyl group and a co-condensate of an organosilicon compd. having a mercaptoalkyl group and a condensible group and an org. compd. having a hydroxyl group, one or more kinds of a vinyl group-containing compd.
