titleOfInvention Production of alkylbenzenes by using dealuminized zeolite y base catalyst and dealuminized mordenite base catalyst
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain monoalkylbenzene and polyalkylbenzene by reacting benzene and a monoolefin in the presence of a dealuminized zeolite Y base catalyst to react the latter with benzene in the presence of a dialuminized mordenite base catalyst. n CONSTITUTION: Benzene and a charge raw material containing an aliphatic monoolefin are reacted in the presence of a catalyst based on dealuminized Zeolite Y wherein an SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 molar ratio is 8-70 (pref., 12-40) to btain a first fraction containin<j unconverted benzene and monoalkylbenzene and a second fraction containing polyalkylbenzene. Subsequently, at least a part of the second fraction and benzene are reacted in the presence of a catalyst based on dealuminized mordenite wherein an Si/Al atomic ratio is 30-80. Excessive benzene of the front process not sent to the rear process is recirculated and polyalkylbenzene after the rear process may be recirculated to the rear process. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
