abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the subject product excellent in physical properties, handleability and aesthetic feeling by sandwiching a cloth containing fiber of a different kind having a large fiber diameter woven therein between two sheets of unidirectional fiber-reinforced prepregs having reinforcing fiber with a small fiber diameter and integrating the whole. n CONSTITUTION: The objective product 1 is obtained by sandwiching a cloth 5 containing fiber (preferably titanium fiber, etc.) 6 of a different kind having 50-500μm fiber diameter woven therein at a prescribed interval in the same direction as that of reinforcing fiber (e.g. carbon fiber) 2 with 5-30μm fiber diameter between two sheets of unidirectional fiber-reinforced prepregs (4A) and (4B) having the aforementioned reinforcing fiber 2 and integrating the whole. The aforementioned product has the above-mentioned cloth 5 arranged in the reinforcing fiber 2. Furthermore, glass fiber, polyethylene fiber, etc., are preferred as weft yarn 8 constructing the cloth 5, because the fiber (bundle) is fine, transparent, etc. Bisphenol A-based epoxy resins, etc., are preferred as a matrix resin. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
