abstract |
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compound useful as a drug and having no renal toxicity by culturing specific bacteria in a medium containing methanol as a C source and subsequently adding an amino acid, etc., to the culture solution to convert pyrroloquinolinequinone into an oxazopyrroloquinoline compound in the presence of oxygen. n CONSTITUTION: Bacteria (e.g. Methylobacillus glycogenes) having an ability to produce pyrroquinolinequinone is cultured in a medium containing methanol as a C source to prepare a culture solution containing the pyrroquinolinequinone. The culture solution is mixed with various amino acids and/or monomethylamine and converted into an oxazopyrroloquinoline compound in the presence of oxygen to provide the objective compound. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
