titleOfInvention Removal of impurity form mixture of cylcohexanone and cyclohexanol
abstract PURPOSE: To treat part of column bottom solution of a second distillation column by a high-pressure distillation column in feeding the title mixture to a first distillation column to distill away low-boiling substances, distilling away cyclohexanone by the second distillation column from the column bottom solution and then distilling away cyclohexanol from a third distillation column. n CONSTITUTION: A first distillation column A is charged with a mixture of cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol from a conduit 1 and a circulating solution through a conduit 8 from a dehydrating reactor E and low-boiling substances are distilled away from a conduit 2. The column bottom solution is fed to a second distillation column B, cyclohexanone is obtained from the top of the column, the column bottom solution is fed to a third distillation column C and a distillate comprising mainly cyclohexanol from the top of the column is supplied to a dehydrating reactor E. The operation conditions of the distillation columns A, B and C are all under 200-400Torr at the top of the columns. Part of the column bottom solution of the distillation column B is fed to a fourth distillation column D, which is operated under 500-2,500Torr pressure of the top of the column to separate impurities. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
