abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition excellent in toughness, impact resistance, high-temperature stiffness, etc., by carrying out polycondensation of a mixture containing a specified low-molecular polyamide condensate, etc., and a polar group-containing polyolefin in a specified ratio while applying a shearing stress thereto in a molten state. n CONSTITUTION: While applying a shearing stress to a mixture containing (A) a low-molecular polyamide condensate having an intrinsic viscosity [η] within a range of 0.01-0.5dl/g measured in concentrated sulfuric acid at 30°C and/or a salt formed from a diamine component and a dicarboxylic acid component and (B) a polar group-containing polyolefin having polar group-containing compounds grafted thereon in an amount of 0.01-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. polyolefin in a weight ratio of (5:95)-(98:2) in a molten state, at least, a part of the above low-molecular polycondensate or salt is polycondensated to give the objective composition. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
