abstract | PURPOSE: To improve air permeability, staining resistance, flexibility, and weatherability by compounding an ethylenic polymer, a specific polyorganosiloxane, and a blowing agent. n CONSTITUTION: 100 pts.wt. ethylenic polymer, 10-900 pts.wt. polyorganosiloxane of the formula [wherein R 1 is an unsatd. aliph. group; R 2 is a (substd.) monovalent hydrocarbon group not contg. an unsatd. aliph. group; 0<a<1; 0.5<b<3; and 1<a+b<3] having a degree of polymn. of 250 or higher and a viscosity (23°C) of 10cSt or higher, and 1 pts.wt. or lower org. peroxide having a 10min half-life temp. of 100-220°C (e.g. succinyl peroxide) are mixed at 160°C or higher to give a mixture contg. 10% or higher gel. 100 pts.wt. said mixture is compounded with 1-30 pts.wt. blowing agent decomposing at 90-220°C (e.g. azobisisobutyronitrile) at 120-300°C. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
