titleOfInvention Production of azomethyne-based dye and indoaniline-based dye
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title compound useful for silver halide photographic photosensitive materials and heat-sensitive transfer recording materials without the need for using toxic heavy metal salt oxidizing agent by anode oxidation of p-phenylenediamine and aminophenol in the presence of a coupler and base to effect coupling. n CONSTITUTION: The objective compound can be obtained by anode oxidation of p-phenylenediamine and an aminophenol (derivative) in the presence of a coupler (e.g. open chain ketomethylene, 5-pyrazolone) and a base (e.g. a base with such a Pka as to be capable of drawing the active hydrogen of the coupler and forming coupler anion) to effect coupling. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
