abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the subject apparatus, having an oxygen feeding member formed so as to provide a cylindrical form of a tube composed of a polymer cellular material arranged in a tank and capable of efficiently culturing cells without damaging the cells with shearing. n CONSTITUTION: The objective apparatus equipped with a hermetically sealable tank 2 for storing cells or a culture medium containing a micro-carrier, having the cells sticking thereto and suspended therein, a cylindrical oxygen feeding member 3 formed by winding around supporting members 31 so as to provide a cylindrical form of a tube 32 composed of a polymer cellular material arranged in the aforementioned tank 2 and a stirring member 4 placed so as to locate in the region in the cylinder of the aforementioned member 3, the above-mentioned culture medium circulating a region between the inner wall of the above-mentioned tank 2 and the outer wall of the above-mentioned feeding member 31 and the interior of the aforementioned cylinder. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
