titleOfInvention | Production of high purity copper |
abstract | PURPOSE: To efficiently obtain high purity copper having high surface smoothness by specifying duty cycle, energizing time and average current density when an electrolytic soln. not contg. additives is electrolyzed with pulsating current. n CONSTITUTION: Electrolytic copper as the anode and a Ti plate as the cathode are set in an electrolytic soln. contg. copper and free sulfuric acid but not contg. additives and the electrolytic soln. is electrolyzed with pulsating current under the conditions of 0.01-0.5 duty cycle represented by formula I, 10μsec-1sec energizing time per one cycle and 0.5-5.0A/dm 2 average current density represented by formula II to obtain high-purity copper having ≥99.999% purity and a smooth surface. When this high purity copper is dry-refined, higher purity copper can be produced. In the formulas I and II, I 1 is supplied current, T 1 is energizing time and T 2 is non-energizing time. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
