titleOfInvention Detecting film of substance
abstract PURPOSE: To form a sensor which can detect a gaseous substance, by constructing a detecting film of an organic film which is provided with an acid-color-developing dyestuff, an acidic developer and a film-forming macromolecular substance and of which the light absorption spectrum changes due to absorption and desorption of a substance to be inspected. n CONSTITUTION: A detecting film is constructed of an organic film which is formed of at least one kind of dyestuff selected from acid-color-developing dyestuffs of triphenylmethane phthalide, fluoran, indolyl phthalide, spiropyran and rhodamine lactam, an acid developer and a film-forming macromolecular substance and of which the light absorption spectrum changes due to absorption and desorption of a substance to be inspected. The substance detecting film thus constructed utilizes a dye being made to take a color-developing structure by a stimulus of an acid or the like, a color former, in particular, as a sensitive part of recognizing the substance. The organic film containing the specified acid-color-developing dyestuff and the acidic developer operates as a functional film which makes absorption and desorption of various substances and of which the absorption spectrum changes in a large degree on the occasion. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
