titleOfInvention Gluconolactone derivative and surfactant containing the derivative as main component
abstract NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [R 1 is 4-30C alkyl or alkylaryl; R 2 is H, CH 3 , 4-30C alkyl or alkylaryl; M is alkali or alkaline-earth metal; n is 1 or 2]. n USE: A decomposable surfactant. It can be decomposed by external factors such as microorganisms, light or heat after achieving the objective purpose as the surfactant. n PREPARATION: The compound of formula I is produced by saponifying a compound of formula II with an alkali solution containing an alkali metal or alkaline-earth metal. The starting compound of formula II can be produced by reacting glucono-1,5-lactone (δ-gluconolactone) with a ketone, aldehyde or dimethylacetalized aldehyde containing long-chain alkyl group in a solvent under normal or reduced pressure. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
