titleOfInvention Solvent extraction method
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the solvent extraction method of a high coefft. of sepn. without having the possibility of the generation of the side-reaction by decomposed matter, poisoning and pollution by bringing an org. solvent contg. an extractant and a specific high dielectric constant org. compd. into contact. with an aq. soln. contg. rare earth ions. n CONSTITUTION: The org. solvent contg. the extractant and the high dielectric constant org. compd. is brought into contact with the aq. soln. contg. ≥1 kinds of rare earth ions, such as La, Ce and Pr, to extract and separate the desired rare earth ions. One or more kinds of diisobutyl ketone, nitroanisole and nitrotoluene are used as the high-dielectric constant org. compd. and the concn. thereof in the org. phase is adjusted to ≥15vol.%. The effect is higher as the extraction reaction is the complex forming reaction. The higher effect is expected with βdiketone, quaternary ammonium salt, etc. than the acid extractant. The high dielectric constant org. compd. is repeatedly usable as it is. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
