abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a high temp. coating type heat-stable plastisol compsn. consisting of a fine polyvinyl chloride resin, a plasticizer, a thermoplastic resin flowable at coating temp. and a fixing agent composed of an unsaturated organosilane-acrylic monomer, and having strong adhesiveness and excellent sealant characteristics and useful in the assembling of a car body. n CONSTITUTION: A hot plastisol compsn. contains 20-35 wt.%, pref., 25-30 wt.% of a finely divided polyvinyl chloride resin (pref., a mixture of 50-75 wt.% of a vinyl chloride homopolymer with internal viscosity of 1.00 ml/g and 25-50 wt.% of a vinyl chloride/maleic ester copolymer with internal viscosity of 0.97 ml/g) (A), 15-35 wt.%, pref., 22-30 wt.% of a plasticizer (pref., diisodecyl phthalate) (B), 2-25 wt.%, pref., 10-15 wt.% of a thermoplastic resin [pref., a vinyl acetate (60-65%)/ethylene copolymer solid at room temp. and flowable at coating temp.] and 3-15 wt.%., pref., 5-11 wt.% of a fixing system (e.g. unsaturated organosilane, acryl monomer, etc.), (D). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO |
