abstract |
PURPOSE: To efficiently decompose pollutants in water by passing a prescribed volume of the water to be purified through biofilters to have the pollutants captured and having the captured pollutants decomposed by the microorganisms fixed to these biofilters. n CONSTITUTION: A bioreactor has several pieces of segment chambers 1 which are superposed on each other at the apexes. Square blocks acting as the adhesion surfaces for the microorganisms are loaded into these segment chambers 1. The square blocks are arranged on perforated trays 4 to separate reactor air to separating section chambers. The water to be purified is passed through a pipe 10 and is supplied through a supply and circulating pipe 8 by a supplying and circulating pump 7 to rotary a rotary sprinkler 6. The polluted water is supplied to the several pieces of segment chambers 1 and is brought into contact with the microorganisms to decompose the org. pollutants. The purified water is discharged from a discharge pipe 11 disposed in the lower part of the bioreactor. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO |
