abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an electrolytic capacitor of high performance and high in reliability by using the mixture of sebacic acid or its salt and long-linked dicarboxylic acid or its salt as a solute, and using ethylene glycol as a main solvent, and specifying the number of the carbons of the long-linked dicarboxylic acid. n CONSTITUTION: The mixture of sebacic acid or its salt and long-linked dicarboxylic acid or its salt is used as a main solute, and ethylene glycol is used as a main solvent so as to form electrolyte for driving an electrolytic capacitor. In this case, the number of the carbons of the long-linked dicarboxylic acid is made 9 to 14. By using the mixture of sebacic acid or its salt and long- linked dicarboxylic acid or its salt for a solute this way, resistivity can be lowered, and the tangent of a loss angle can be suppressed. Furthermore, though the conventional one is lower about 10% in initial capacity value and further great in leakage currents besides being large in the change after test, these properties are improved this time, and a high performance of reliable capacitor can be made. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
