titleOfInvention Method and apparatus for treating gaseous nox
abstract PURPOSE: To reduce NO x without using harmful ammonia by introducing a gaseous mixture of the NO x with air into an aq. soln. prepd. by dissolving sodium azide in water under acidic conditions. n CONSTITUTION: A gaseous mixture of NO x with air is introduced into an aq. soln. prepd. by dissolving sodium azide in water under acidic conditions and the gaseous mixture is allowed to react with the sodium azide to reduce and remove the NO x . In other way, a gaseous mixture of NO x with air and water are sprayed, the resulting spray is activated with plasma and introduced into an aq. soln. prepd. by dissolving sodium azide in water under acidic conditions and the activated spray is allowed to react with the sodium azide to reduce and remove the NO x . Oxygen may be used in place of the air. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
