abstract PURPOSE: To prepare the subject silicone in a high yield and in a shortened preparation time by separating an acid catalyst layer from the reaction system, neutralizing the remaining acid catalyst with a weak alkaline compound and subsequently separating solid contents from the neutralized product. n CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a hydrogen group-containing silicone comprising a polymerization reaction and/or an equilibration reaction with a catalyst and the subsequent removal of the acid catalyst after the finish of the reactions is characterized by separating an acid catalyst layer from the reaction system, neutralizing the acid catalyst remained in the produced hydrogen group-containing silicone with a weak alkaline compound insoluble in the product and subsequently separating solid contents from the neutralized product. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
