abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain the subject product remarkably improved in dimensional stability, compressive strength, etc., without employing trichlorofluoromethane foaming agent by using a specific aromatic polyisocyanate as an organic polyisocyanate. CONSTITUTION:The objective product obtained by reacting (A) an organic polyisocyanate composed of an aromatic polyisocyanate expressed by the formula (A is phenylene, alkylene, etc.; R1 is H, halogen, etc., L is 1-2; m is 0-3; n is 0-300) with (B) a polyol in the presence of a catalyst (e.g. triethylamine), a foam stabilizer and a foaming agent. For example, poly-p-xylylene polyphenyl polysocyanate is used as the aromatic polyisocyanate expressed by the formula. Furthermore, the polyisocyanate expressed by the formula is preferably used in an amount of 10-70 pts.wt. in the whole organic polyisocyanate. |
