titleOfInvention Vinyl chloride plastisol composition
abstract PURPOSE: To improve the adhesive properties, foaming properties, fade resistance, and storage stability during the thermal treatment over a wide tem. range by compounding a vinyl chloride (co)polymer, a plasticizer, and a specific adhesion promotor. n CONSTITUTION: A polyisocyanate compd. (e.g. tolylene diisocyanate) is reacted with a blocking agent (e.g. 2-ethylhexyl p-hydroxybenzoate) in an amt. of 1-2 equivalents (based on the free NCO group of the polyisocyanate compd.) at 50-150°C to give a blocked isocyanate compd. wherein all the NCO groups have been blocked. The blocked isocyanate compd. and an arom. amine compd. having at least two active amino groups are mixed in a wt. ratio of (5:95)-(95:5) to give an adhesion promotor. 10-50wt.% vinyl chloride (co)polymer, 10-50wt.% plasticizer, 0.1-30wt.% the adhesion promotor, 0-70wt.% filler, and 0-3wt.% stabilizer are compounded. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
