abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an appetite suppressant free from patience and pain followed by diet and treatment, useful for restraining overeating, being readily taken, comprising a specific triglyceride as an active ingredient and a food containing the same suppressant. n CONSTITUTION: The objective substance obtained by introducing ≤10C fatty acid to the 1- and 3-positions of a glyceride to which 18C fatty acid is bonded to the 2-position of the glyceride or the 1- and 3-positions of fats and oils rich in the glycerdie, optionally hydrogenating the 28C fatty acid bonded to the 2-position, fractionating and purifying the glyceride. The content of the glyceride in fats and oils is ≥35wt.% and 1-30g of the glyceride is taken in the form of capsule, tablet, etc., or usually a food (pet food is included) daily. The glyceride is taken in the form of fats and oils for fried food, an oil for square iron plates, margarine, shortening, cooking oil, mayonnaise, dressing and oil cakes such as cookie, chocolate, etc., dairy products and fats and oils for medi cal foods, etc., as the food. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
