abstract |
PURPOSE: To provide the subject compsn. composed of a linear polyester containing a repeating unit of methyl-propanediol and a repeating unit of a cyclic dicarboxylic acid and imparting a thermoset coating film enhanced in hardness and flexibility. n CONSTITUTION: The objective compsn. is composed of a linear polyester consisting of 40-55% of a repeating unit of dicarboxylic acid containing 75-100 mol.% of a cyclic dicarboxylic acid component (A) and 45-60% of an aliphatic diol repeating unit containing 75-100 mol.% of 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol (B) and has a totalized acid/hydroxyl value of 15-75 mg of potassium hydroxide per 1 g of the linear polyester and imparts thermoset resin coating improved in flexibility and hardness. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO |
