abstract | PURPOSE: To provide an acetal copolymer obtained by reacting trioxane and a glycidyl ester derivative and imparting an acetal polymer having a specific structural formula and enhanced in chemical and physical characteristics. n CONSTITUTION: Trioxane and a glycidyl ester derivative pref. having a structural formula represented by formula I (R is ester) (e.g.; glycidyl acrylate) are copolymerized (pref. by a bulk polymerization in an anhydrous state by using boron trifluoride as a catalyst) to obtain an acetal copolymer having a structural formula represented by formula II (m and n are m+n=5-20,000 and m:n=1:5000-1:1).
