abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the subject polymer having good transparency by employing a catalyst containing a TiCl 3 composition, an organic Al compound and an organic carboxylic acid ester, the TiCl 3 composition being prepared by subjecting a solid comprising an organic Al compound, a TiCl 4 , etc., to one or more stage polymerization treatment using an olefin and subsequently treating the product with an electron donor, etc. n CONSTITUTION: Propylene is polymerized in the presence of (A) a TiCl 3 composition containing 0.1-49.5wt.% of a straight chain olefinic polymer block and 0.01-49.5wt.% of a non-straight chain olefinic polymer block, (B) an organic Al compound and (C) an aromatic carboxylic acid ester in a C/A ratio of 0.1-10.0 and in a B/A ratio of 0.1-200 to provide a high rigid polypropylene, the TiCl 3 composition A being prepared by reacting a block copolymer containing the straight chain olefinic polymer block and the non-straight chain olefinic polymer block in a weight ratio of 2/98-98-2 with an electron-donor and an electron acceptor, the block copolymer being formed by subjecting a solid product to one stage or multistage polymerization treatment using a straight chain olefin and a non-straight chain olefin, the solid product being prepared by reacting an organic Al compound or the reaction product thereof with an electron donor with TiCl 4 . n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
