titleOfInvention Dispersant
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a high concn. and low viscosity dispersant excellent in dispersion stability by using a vinyl polymer obtained by copolymerizing a carboxyl group-containing vinyl monomer, an amino group-containing vinyl monomer and a sulfone group-containing vinyl monomer. n CONSTITUTION: A pigment dispersant is composed of a vinyl polymer having a carboxyl group, an amino group and a sulfone group, and the vinyl polymer used to inorg. or org. pigment is obtained by copolymerizing an amino group- containing vinyl monomer such as aminoalkyl ester of ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid or aminoalkylamide of ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid, a sulfone group-containing vinyl monomer such as sulfoethyl acrylate and a carboxyl group-containing vinyl monomer. When pigment is dispersed and slur ried in water, a high concn. and low viscosity pigment slurry excellent in flowability and having excellent dispersion stability generating no sedimentation of pigment particles even during long-time preservation or forming, no strong floc even when sedimentation is generated can be prepared. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
