abstract NEW MATERIAL:A crystal having infrared absorption spectrum measured using potassium bromide, characterized by sharp double-line bands at 750cm -1 (13.33μ) and 765cm -1 (13.07μ) and showing characteristic absorption band measured by X ray diffraction, having sharp bands at 10.5°, 12.0°, 13-.0°, 16.0° and 16.9°. n USE: An antihypertensive agent. n PREPARATION: 2-[4-(2-Furoyl)piperazin-1-yl]-4-amino-6,7-dimethoxyquinazoline hydrochloride (1-15% water content) is heated in an acetone suspension at 150°C or at reflux temperature while stirring. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
