titleOfInvention | Instrument for measuring ion concentration |
abstract | PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration of ion selective electrodes by processing the signals from the 1st and 2nd ion selective electrodes which are provided successively in a flow passage for a liquid to be measured and respectively contain required materials. n CONSTITUTION: The 1st ion selective electrode 3 contg. valinomycin and the 2nd ion selective electrode 4 contg. a quaternary ammonium salt apart a required distance from the electrode 3 are provided in the flow passage of a flow cell 1 having an inflow part 11 and a discharge part 12. The respective detection signals of the electrodes 3, 4 are supplied via a selector switch 8 and are subjected to impedance conversion by an operational amplifier 6. The concns. of the K + and Cl - ions in blood are continuously measured by a voltmeter 7 to which the signal from a reference electrode 5 consisting of silver/silver chloride is impressed. The electrode 3 is prevented from receiving the influence of the electrode 4 and from deterioration by the disposition of such electrodes 3, 4, by which the life of the electrode is prolonged. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
