abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title antioxidant improved in an antioxidizing effect, extraction resistance, and blooming resistance by reacting a polydiene having an acid anhydride group in the molecule with a specified alcohol compound to form a compound having double bonds crosslinkable with a polymer in the molecule. n CONSTITUTION: A polydiene having an acid anhydride group in the molecule (e.g. maleinized polybutadiene) is reacted with an alcohol compound of the formula (wherein R 1 and R 2 are each 1-4C alkyl; l is 0 to 3) (e.g. 3,5-di-t-butyl-4- hydroxyphenyl alcohol compound) to give the title antioxidant. A polymeric material comprising a polymer reactive with this antioxidant is mixed with 0.1-20wt.% of this antioxidant, and crosslinking reaction is effected to give the title composition. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
