abstract | PURPOSE: To provide the subject composition especially having an improved temperature range for the employment thereof and used for liquid crystal display panels, etc., by mixing a chiral liquid crystal component with a non-chiral liquid crystal component comprising a tricyclic defluorinated ester liquid crystal, etc. n CONSTITUTION: (A) A chiral liquid crystal component is mixed with (B) a non- chiral liquid crystal component comprising (i) 5-95wt.% of a tricyclic difluorinated ester liquid crystal of formula I (m and n are integers of 5-15), (ii) ≥2wt.% of a phenylpyrimidine liquid crystal of formula II (p, q are integers of 5-15) and (iii) ≥2wt.% of a phenyl benzoate liquid crystal of formula III (i, j are integers of 5-15) to provide the objective composition. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
