abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the subject catalyst giving a polymer having suppressed blocking tendency of particles and excellent particle size distribution by preliminarily polymerizing an α-olefin under specific condition with a catalyst composed of a solid titanium catalyst component containing Mg, Ti, halogen, etc., and a specific organometallic compound catalyst component, etc. n CONSTITUTION: The objective catalyst is produced by preparing an olefin polymerization catalyst composed of (A) a solid titanium catalyst component containing Mg, Ti, a halogen and, as necessary, an electron donor (preferably an organic carboxylic acid ester ester compound) as essential components, (B) an organometallic compound catalyst component of a metal of group I to III of the periodic table (e.g. trimethylaluminum) and, as necessary, (C) an electron donor (e.g. methanol), suspending the prepared catalyst in a liquid α-olefin and carrying out preliminary random polymerization of 0.2-4,000g (based on 1g of a catalyst component A) of two or more kinds of α-olefins including the above liquid α-olefin to the catalyst. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
