titleOfInvention Dye borate photoinitiator and photo-setting composition containing the same
abstract NEW MATERIAL: A borate anion complex represented by formula Y 1 and Y 2 are each O, S, selenium, vinyl, >C(CH 3 ) 2 or N-R 7 ; n is 0 or 1-3; R 1 and R 2 are each alkyl and at least one of them is long chain alkyl having at least 8 C-atoms; R 3 -R 6 are alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkaryl, alkenyl, alkynyl, an alicyclic group, a heterocyclic group or an allyl group; and R 7 is short chain alkyl]. n USE: This new material is useful as a photoinitiator or a component of a photo- setting compsn. and shows high-order solubility in a usual monomer and a photoinitiator of a new kind imparting a high membrane forming speed. n PROCESS: The compd. represented by the formula is produced by using the method described in US Patent 4772530 and 4772541. The photosetting compsn. is pref. used by microencapsulation. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
