titleOfInvention Equipment hydrolyzing protein or peptide
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an equipment making a sample carrier of specific structure to carry protein or peptide and subsequently conveying to each process of drying, hydrolysis with solid phase-gaseous phase reaction, extracting hydrolyzed sample and injecting said extracted solution into amino acid analyzer, in turn. n CONSTITUTION: Protein or peptide is carried in glass filter 7 in a sample holder 8 composed of glass filter 7 in glass outer cylinder 6 formed in which outer diameter in central part is formed smaller than outer diameters of the both sides and the sample is dried in a vacuum box 10. The sample carrier 8 is conveyed to hydrolyzing stage and acid-mixed gas is supplied to the sample under pressurization and heat to perform hydrolyzing reaction with solid phase- liquid phase reaction. Then the hydrolyzed sample is extracted with diluted hydrochloric acid, thus liquid dissolving the sample is sent to sample coil 28 in six-way valve 27 as injecting device of amino acid analyzer. Reduction of pollution and exclusion of personal error become possible by continuously performing each process without hand operation and a more correct analysis of amino acid composition can be performed. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
