abstract | PURPOSE: To prepare the title compsn. which hardly yellows when colored with a titanium oxide pigment and shows little discoloration at a high temp. by compounding an arom. polycarbonate resin contg. a specific titanium oxide with a specific phosphite. n CONSTITUTION: 100 pts.wt. arom. polycarbonate resin contg. at least 0.05wt.% rutile type titanium oxide surface-treated with at least one compd. selected from the group consisting of a fatty acid metal salt (e.g. aluminum stearate), Al 2 O 3 , and SiO 2 is compounded with 0.005-0.5 pt.wt. at least one phosphite selected from the group consisting of phosphites of formula I (wherein R 1 , R 2 , and R 3 are each 6-10C alkyl) and formula II (wherein R 4 and R 5 are each 6-24C alkyl).
