titleOfInvention Combined yarn improved in dyeability and soft touch
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title yarn by combining ultrafine low-shrinkage nondrawn filament yarn with each specified single fiber fineness, crystallinity, residual elongation and boiling water shrinkage with higher-shrinkage drawn filament yarn smaller in the total fineness than the former. n CONSTITUTION: Ultrafine low-shrinkage nondrawn filament yarn 1 is heat-treated with a hot roller 3 and a slit heater 4 to adjust the single fiber fineness to ≤0.8de, degree of crystallinity X p to ≤30%, residual elongation to ≥70% and boiling water shrinkage to ≤5%. The resultant yarn is fed, together with higher- shrinkage drawn filament yarn 2 ≥1.2de in single fiber fineness and not larger in the total fineness than the former to a stepped take up roller 5 and an air- interlacing nozzle 6 and mutually combined in such a state that the number of the constituent filaments of the former is larger than that of the latter by a factor of ≥1.4, followed by winding on a winder 7, thus obtaining the objective combined yarn. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
