titleOfInvention | Aerosol type penetrant, aerosol type detergent and aerosol type developer used in solvent removal liquid penetrant testing method |
abstract | PURPOSE: To allow flaw detection with high accuracy without occurring the problem of the destruction of the ozone layer by forming the spraying agent to be sealed into an aerosol can of 'Flon-134a(R)' or the 'Flon-134a(R)' and a compressed gas selected from gaseous nitrogen, CO 2 and air. n CONSTITUTION: The spraying agent to be used at the time of sealing respectively (a) a solvent removable dye or fluorescent penetrant essentially consisting of a dye, base solvent and diluting solvent, (2) a detergent essentially consisting of a volatile org. solvent and (3) a rapid-drying type developer essentially consisting of white fine powder and a volatile org. solvent into the aerosol can is formed of the 'Flon-134a(R)' or the 'Flon-134a(R)' and the compressed gas selected from the gaseous nitrogen, CO 2 and air. Since the 'Flon-134a(R)' does not contain Cl, this gas does not break the ozone layer and since this gas exhibits the similar behaviors of 'Flon-11(R)' and 'Flon-12(R)', a uniform spraying state is obtainable. The gas is noncombustible and has no inhalation toxicity. The aerosol type liquid penetrant testing agent having high safety is, therefore, prepd. by properly selecting various kinds of the org. solvents. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
