abstract PURPOSE: To provide a pet food capable of decreasing the fecal odor excreted after fed to pets, containing crude drugs from camellia or camphor plant or an extract from the dried leaves of such plant or a dry distillation product from said leaves. n CONSTITUTION: Firstly, an extract or dry distillation product is prepared from the raw or dried leaves of a camellia plant such as tea tree, 'sasanqua' or camellia or a camphor plant such as laurel tree, cinnamon tree or camphor. Thence, this extract or dry distillation product is admixed with or sprinkle over a pet food material, thus obtaining the objective feed. The amount of the extract or dry distillation product to be added is 0.001-0.05 (pref. 0.002-0.01) pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the whole feed.
