| abstract | PURPOSE:To obtasin good shock-absorbing function and beautiful appearance of a product by a method wherein the interior trim is constituted of a hard urethane core member and a skin member, and a thickness increasing pad, consisting of semi-hard urethane, is interposed between the core member and the skin member in a part, whereat a soft feeling is requested. CONSTITUTION:An automotive door trim 10 is constituted of a hard urethane core member 11, formed by molding, a skin member 12, bonded integrally upon molding the core member 11, and a thickness increasing pad 13, interposed into the part of an arm rest between the core member 11 and the skin member 12. Semi-hard urethane is used for the thickness increasing pad 13 and good shock-absorbing function may be obtained while the thickness increasing pad 13 is bonded strongly to the hard urethane core member 11 due to the compatibility of the material of the hard urethane core member 11 with the material of the thickness increasing pad 13 consisting of semi-hard urethane and the skin member 12 is bonded strongly to the thickness increasing pad 13 by an adhesive agent. The weight of the trim may be lightened, shock- absorbing property may be improved and the thickness increasing pad 13 may be provided by using the hard urethane core member 11 whereby the soft feeling of the trim may be improved. |
