titleOfInvention Production of conjugated diene polymer
abstract PURPOSE: To efficiently obtain the title polymer having narrow distribution of molecular weight and excellent rubber elasticity by polymerizing a conjugated diene in the presence of a multicomponent catalyst consisting of a rare earth metal salt, organoaluminum compound and halogen-containing Lewis acid. n CONSTITUTION: A conjugated diene monomer (e.g. 1,3-butadiene) is polymerized in the presence of a multicomponent catalyst consisting of (A) rare earth metal salt of phenylhydroxylamide compound expressed by formula I (R 1 is 1-40C hydrocarbon; R 2 to R 4 are H or 1-20C hydrocarbon), (B) organoaluminum compound (e.g. aluminum triethyl) expressed by formula II (R 5 to R 7 are H or 1-10C hydrocarbon, except when all or R 5 to R 7 are H) and (C) halogen element- containing Lewis acid compound (e.g. methyl aluminum dibromide) to provide the aimed polymer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
