abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition having excellent adhesivity between a resin and fibers and having high tensile strength, flexural strength, impact strength, etc., by treating the fibers with a specific sizing agent and subsequently impregnating the treated fibers with a modified polyolefinic polymer. CONSTITUTION:Reinforcing fibers such as glass fibers (B) are treated with a sizing agent comprising an olefinic polymer such as chlorinated polyethylene, an emulsifier, water and a lubricant (A) and subsequently impregnated with a resin component comprising a polyolefin and a modified polyolefinic polymer such as polypropylene graft with maleic anhydride (C) so as to contain the component B in an amount of 5-80wt.%, thereby providing the objective composition.
