titleOfInvention | Production of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid alkylaminoalkyl ester |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compound useful as an agent for modifying dyeability of textile, etc., at a low cost by using a specific catalyst in the ester interchange reaction of an acrylic or methacrylic acid lower ester and an alkylaminoalkyl alcohol. n CONSTITUTION: The objective compound is produced by the ester interchange reaction of an acrylic or methacrylic acid lower ester of formula I (R 1 is H or methyl; R 2 is 1-4C alkyl) and an alkylaminoalkyl alcohol of formula II (R 3 is H or 1-6C alkyl; R 4 is H or 1-6C alkyl; n is 2-6) (e.g. dimethylaminoethanol) using zinc acetylacetonate complex hydrate as a catalyst. The amount of the compound of formula I is preferably 1.2-10mol, especially 1.5-5mol per 1mol of the compound of formula II. The amount of the catalyst is 0.1-0.6mol% based on the compound of formula II and the catalyst is preferably charged in divided state to the system. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
