titleOfInvention Production of highly elastic woven fabric
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the subject woven fabric having an excellent touch by weaving elastic fibers prepared by melt-spinning a specific polyether.ester and having an elongation of ≥ a constant value with conventional polyester fibers, thermally setting the woven fabric at a specific elongation degree and subjecting to an alkali weight reduction process. n CONSTITUTION: Elastic fibers prepared by melt-spinning a block polyether.polyester copolymer containing polybutylene terephthalate polyester as hard segments and polyoxybutylene glycol polyether as soft segments and having an elongation of ≥250% are woven with polyethylene terephthalate polyester fibers or cation-dyeable polyethylene terephthalate fibers. The woven fabric is pre-set to a constant load elongation degree of ≥20% in at least one of the lateral and longitudinal directions of the woven fabric and subsequently subjected to an alkali weight reduction treatment so as to hold the elongation degree of ≥80%, thereby providing a highly elastic woven fabric having a rich resilience and an excellent drape property. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
