titleOfInvention Production of toner for developing electrostatic charge image
abstract PURPOSE: To easily obtain the toner which is excellent in electrostatic charge characteristics, is free from fluctuation and is sharp in particle size distribution by using a specific quaternary ammonium salt-contg. copolymer. n CONSTITUTION: Coloring agent are dispersed in a polymerizable monomer in the presence of the quaternary ammonium salt-contg. copolymer expressed by formula I and the monomer is suspension polymerized in a suspension medium contg. an inorg. dispersant. In the formula 1, R 1 , R 2 denote a hydrogen atom or methyl group; R 3 denotes 1 to 3C alkylene group; R 4 to R 6 denotes 1 to 2C alkyl groups; m denotes 4 to 200 and n denotes 1 integer. The good electrostatic charge characteristic (positive charge characteristics) are imparted to the resulted toner and the toner which is substantially free from flocs and is sharp in the grain size distribution is easily produced in this way. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
