titleOfInvention Organic sulfide-stabilized polymer type engineering resin
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled resin which can be protected from harmful action of oxygen and high temp. in case of both processing and use of this resin by incorporating a polymer type engineering resin and a specified amt. of an org. sulfide. n CONSTITUTION: When the subject resin is obtd. by incorporating a polymer type engineering resin selected from polycarbonates, polyaryl ethers, polyamides, polyesters, etc., and an org. sulfide with a sufficient amt. for stabilizing this resin to oxidative decomposition or thermal decomposition when this resin is processed and used, this org. sulfide antioxydant is expressed by formulas I, II and III [wherein n is 2-15; m is 0 or 1; R is a 2-30C (substd.) alkyl, a 5-20C (substd.) cycloalkyl, etc.; R 1 and R 2 are each H or a 1-4C alkyl; R 3 is a 1-24C alkyl and a 5-20C cycloalkyl; R 5 is H and a 1-24C alkyl; R 6 is H or a 1-24C alkyl and when m is 0, R 6 is H or a 1-7C alkyl and when m is 1, R 6 is a 1-24C alkyl; R 7 are a direct bonding or a 1-4C alkylene; R 8 is a 5-16C mono-, di- or tri-cycloalkyl]. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
