titleOfInvention | Moisture sensitive element |
abstract | PURPOSE: To allow the formation of the moisture sensitive element as a chip of an extremely thin shape without requiring leads by providing electrodes on both surfaces of a laminar moisture sensitive body consisting of an insulator or semiconductor. n CONSTITUTION: The movable ions in the sodium polyacrylate held in porous ceramics of the moisture sensitive body 3 are increased by a change in the humidity of an atmosphere. The fluctuation in the number of the movable ions is detected as a change in resistance value and is directly transmitted from the electrodes 1, 3 to a humidity detecting circuit. The porous body after the formation of the electrodes is dipped into an aq. sodium polyacrylate soln. and is then dried for one hour at 150°C to hold the moisture sensitive body in the porous body. The holding of the moisture sensitive body is executed by a method of adhering the porous body after the formation of the electrodes to the substrate and dropping a fixed volume of the aq. moisture sensitive soln. onto the element by using a dispenser and drying the soln. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
