NEW MATERIAL: A compound of formula I [A and B combinedly represents -CH=CH-CH=N- or -CH=CR 4 -CR 5 =CH- (either of R 4 and R 5 is H, the other being H, halogen, nitro, etc.) connecting N and C=NR 1 ; X represents N,N-oxide, C-Z (Z is H, halogen, 1-4C alkyl, etc.); R 1 represents H, cyano, nitro, 1-4C alkyl, etc.; R 2 represents H; and R 3 represents hydroxyl or acetyloxy. n EXAMPLE: 4-(2-Cyanimino 1,2-dihydro 1-pyridyl)2,2-dimethyl 6-nitro 7-lomene. n USE: Remedies for antihypertension and anti-arrhythmia. n PROCESS: By reacting an epoxide of formula II with the heterocyclic ring in formula III, in an inert solvent (for example, dioxane) and in the presence of a basic condensing agent (for example, sodium hydroxide) at 10-100°C, a compound of formula I is obtained. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO |
