PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition in a form of an oil-in-water type emulsion, capable of improving cleansing effect, rinsing properties and skin feeling, by formulating a combination of a specific poly α-olefin and a prescribed carboxyl copolymer with a specified surfactant. CONSTITUTION: (A) An anionic, nonionic, amphoteric and/or ampholytic surfactant having >=10 HLB is formulated with (B) a compound of formula I (R1 and R2 are each about 20-30C alkyl) having 2-4 centistoke viscosity at 100 deg.C and (C) a copolymer of 95.9-98.8wt.% of a monomer selected from acrylic acid, methacrylic acid and ethacrylic acid, 1-3.5wt.% of a compound of formula II (R is a 10-30C alkyl; R1 is H, methyl or ethyl), etc., a combination of a specific poly α-olefin and 0.1-0.6wt.% of a polymerizable cross-linkable polyalkenyl polyether of a polyhydric alcohol containing three or more OH groups in the ratio of 0.5-10wt.% of the component A, 2-30wt.% of the component B and 0.25-0.75wt.% of the component C to give the objective composition for removing make-up. |
