abstract PURPOSE: To improve photosensitivity by incorporating a binder resin, a specific inorg. photoconductive material and sensitizing dyes as essential components of the above toner and incorporating one kind of a perylene black pigment and quinone dye or a mixture composed thereof into the toner. n CONSTITUTION: This toner contains the binder, the pale color inorg. photoconductive material colored by the sensitizing dye having absorption at the wavelengths of a visible region and the sensitizing dye having absorption at the wavelengths of a semiconductor laser wavelength region as the essential components, and one kind of the perylene black pigment and the quinone dye consisting of yellow, magenta and cyan dyes or the mixture composed thereof. The binder resin is exemplified by polymers, such as, for example, styrene polymers, etc. The colored photoconductive material is the inorg. photoconductive material of the pale color colored by the sensitizing dye having the absorption at the wavelengths of the visible region and this sensitizing dye is exemplified by chromatic erythrosine B, etc. Zinc oxide is preferably used as the inorg. photoconductive material of the pale color in terms of a high memory characteristic and photosensitivity. The toner which is good in both of the electrostatic chargeability and photoconductivity and has the excellent photosensitivity to the wavelength of the laser wavelength region is obtd. in this way. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
