titleOfInvention | Composite material |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composite material excellent in processability and mechanical stability and useful for sporting goods, etc., by using a silicon carbide-based fiber prepared by calcination of a specified silicon polymer compound and having specified physical properties as a reinforcing material and a polycarbonate resin as a matrix. n CONSTITUTION: A silicone polymer compound fiber having silicon-carbon bonds and silicon-silicon bonds as the main skeleton components is infusibilized and calcined preferably in a non-oxygen atmosphere to obtain a silicon carbide-based fiber having ≥15T/mm 2 tensile modulus and ≥1.8% elongation. The resultant silicon carbide-based fiber is used as a reinforcing material and a polycarbonate resin (preferably polymer obtained by condensation polymerization between bisphenol A and phosgene or diphenyl carbonate and having repeating structural unit of formula) is used as a matrix, thus obtaining the objective composite material. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
