titleOfInvention | Arterialization factor production-accelerating agent |
abstract | PURPOSE: To provide an arterialization factor production-accelerating agent stimulating the arterialization factor production of human ovarian tumor cells or established cells and capable of efficiently producing the arterialization factor from the serum-free supernatant of the cells by comprising a specific phorbol derivative. n CONSTITUTION: An arterialization factor production-accelerating agent for stimulating and accelerating the production of the arterialization factor of human ovarian tumor cells or the established cells thereof comprises a compound of the formula (R 1 and R 2 are 1-16C alkyl or phenyl). When the cells are cultured in a medium containing a serum and subsequently cultured in a serum-free medium to prepare the arterialization factor from the supernatant of the cultured solution, the above-mentioned accelerating agent is added to the serum-free medium in an amount of 0.1-6μg per ml of the medium to massively and effectively prepare the arterialization factor from the supernatant, the factor being useful for treating wounds and as to deriving capillaries to take blood vessel endothelial cells thereon when coated on the inner walls of artificial blood vessels, thereby permitting to manufacture the artificial blood vessels having more excellent biological compatibility than conventional ones. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
